During the COVID-19 outbreak, as a part of infection prevention and control (IPC) measures, health workers must evaluate each interaction that will take place between them and their patients, and assess the risk of exposure to and contact with any bodily fluids, such as blood or respiratory droplets and/or open skin. Doing this "risk assessment" enables a health worker to determine which PPE to wear with each patient interaction.
